Faculty School of Humanitarian Studies, Justice Studies Program Faculty of Social and Applied Sciences

Royal Roads University is located in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. With a reputation for innovation, RRU is a leader in the delivery of blended learning programs, which combine intensive residency experiences with online course work.

Royal Roads University (RRU) is seeking applications for a full-time Faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in the Master of Arts in Justice Studies (MAJS) program, School of Humanitarian Studies, Faculty of Social and Applied Sciences. This program is subject to final approval by the British Columbia Ministry of Advanced Education.

The Master of Arts in Justice Studies program is a two-year graduate program that stresses the importance of a collaborative and problem focused approach to justice. Recognizing the multi-problematic aspects of complex social issues, a transdisciplinary approach is emphasized for understanding the complexity of problems and developing effective solutions often missed under more traditional approaches to justice.

The program will admit up to 40 new students each year starting in January 2018. Typical Justice Studies students are working professionals in the justice sector and/or have roles as managers, negotiators, facilitators, or consultants, or have completed an undergraduate program related to justice studies and seek to further their professional education. The diversity of student backgrounds and richness of their life experiences contributes to the learning environment. Further program details can be found at: http://www.royalroads.ca/prospective-students/master-arts-justice-studies.
